Manila:
The tropical storm Ketsana hit Manila and its provinces on 26 September 2009. It brought devastation and misery to the people.

HelpAlliance is supporting a project with 10,000 euros which helps flood-stricken inhabitants that have lost their houses in the provinces of Montalban. The local government has provided a total of 10 hectares of land to the victims of the flood. In the foreseeable future, 10 houses can be built there.

Brazil:
An amazon’s town named Santarem was hit by a flood in May 2009.

Because of promptly available funds HelpAlliance was able to support the association SEARA which helps families in that area. With the financial help of 10,000 euros those affected received medicine, food, clothing, cleaning supplies, toiletries and the basics that are needed to support the families.

Indonesia:
In October 2009, Indonesia was hit by several severe earthquakes. HelpAlliance will be supporting a sustainable aid. At the moment, a Lufthansa Systems colleague and several colleagues of the sales office in Jakarta are looking into an adequate and sustainable reconstruction project. HelpAlliance will provide an amount of 10,000 euros. In addition, Lufthansa colleagues spontaneously donated 1,000 euros for the good cause.
