“Balance”, the Lufthansa sustainability report, portrays the organization

With the foundation of the HelpAlliance e.V. in September 1999 thirteen Lufthansa employees established a common platform for socially committed colleagues. In the course of ten years the association has emerged as an umbrella organization of more than 30 projects in 20 countries.

An important basis for the growth was the support by Lufthansa Group from the very first, as well as the regular contributions of the supporting members, who donate regularly and thus allow for a stable basis for planning.

In order to ensure the financial support of the steady growing number of projects, in addition the fundraising was continuously expanded. Thus for example the donation of money in any currency on board and on ground, as well as the donation program Miles to Help could be introduced with great success.
