Continuous growth of supported projects

Since 2006 Help Alliance has been supporting more and more projects initiated by colleagues from Lufthansa and Condor. This result is only possible thanks to both all incoming donations and the social activities of colleagues from Lufthansa and Condor.

Supporting people in need has always been a matter of concern to many colleagues from Lufthansa and Condor. Their social commitment for people is just admirable – no matter if on duty or on private holidays, they do have their eyes and hearts open not only for all the beautiful sights but also for poverty and people in need.

Help Alliance has extended its cooperation with organizations acting from within the company. In this way new initiatives have been subsidized in Kenya, South Africa and the Dominican Republic. As for example Help Alliance supports a chemical laboratory at Lulu High School close to Mombasa (“Watoto e.V.”). In cooperation with “Lebenslinien e.V.”, Help Alliance is renovating a nursery school in a poor community of Winelands Region close to Stellenbosch / South Africa. Together with “Pueblo Project” we are assisting in building a new retreat for a needy family living in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. Autumn 2007 will be the start date for cooperation with “flight aid e.V.”, which is assembling a medical aid flight service in Southern Africa, focussing on Zimbabwe for the beginning. The most recently supported project “Culture Radio” initiated by a colleague from Hamburg, is aiming to build up a radio broadcasting station for education and information in cooperation with “Shelter for Africa e.V.”.

The responsibility, inspection and setting up for all supported Help Alliance projects lies in the hands of colleagues from Lufthansa and Condor and creates the basis for HelpAlliance approval of funds. Please, refer to “supported projects” for more information.
